Founded in 2019, our nonprofit organization is dedicated to uplifting talented girls through the transformative power of basketball.
OUR VISION
Gold Team is a scholarship program to elevate Women’s Basketball in Hong Kong and give our girls the same training and development of an elite overseas program. Provide subsidized world-class training & life-changing opportunities to Hong Kong’s BEST young female basketball players.
OUR MISSION
To use basketball as a vehicle to better these girls' lives as well as their families. To show the people of Hong Kong that sports is something that teaches our youth valuable lessons of life and can take you places you never thought possible.
CHANGE MINDSET
Before the Gold Team started, no Hong Kong girl has received a basketball scholarship before from a US school, not because we don’t have the talent, but because the talent has not been developed. The Gold Team can lift the next generation of basketball players and show society how Hong Kong women can compete on the international stage.
COMPETITIVE EXPOSURE
To enhance our girls' exposure and experience, we frequently organize trips to the Chinese Mainland and the United States. These excursions allow our athletes to compete against some of the best talent in the world, providing invaluable experience and visibility to potential recruiters from American universities. Our commitment is to ensure that our girls are prepared for the competitive landscape of collegiate athletics, paving the way for basketball scholarships and further educational opportunities.
BREAKING BARRIERS
Our organization is not just about basketball; it’s about breaking barriers. We are passionate about empowering women and advocating for equal opportunities in sports. By providing a platform that emphasizes athletic excellence and academic achievement, we aim to inspire a new generation of female leaders who will rise above societal expectations for women.
EDUCATION
For the elite few, Strive will work to get the girls' sports scholarships to prep schools and universities abroad through our coaching network.
